Resources
All construction plans approved by the City of Marysville must include general notes that govern the construction methodologies used by the construction contractor for a particular project. Infrastructure that will be maintained by the City of Marysville must be constructed in compliance with the technical specifications approved by the city engineer. All applicable standard drawings must be referenced within all approved construction plans:
- General Notes - This information must be included on all approved construction plans.
- Supplemental General Design Specifications - Information for the Design Engineer
- Access Management Guidelines - Enforced by the Engineering Department.
- Traffic Impact Study Requirements - May be required by the Engineering Department.
- Active Transportation Map - Outline of walking and bicycle routes in the city.

Permits & Applications
The Engineering Department requires the inspection of any work on the city’s public infrastructure including the utilities located in the county. Inspections must be scheduled a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

- Application for Contractor’s License - The intent of the licensing process is to ensure that contractors meet the minimum qualifications and experience to perform the specified work. A bond supplied by the contractor is required to protect the city from any damages that may arise from said work.

- Homeowner’s Statement - Only necessary if the homeowner, themselves, are performing the construction work on public infrastructure.

- Stormwater Drainage Manual - This document outlines the regulations pertaining to stormwater conveyance (storm sewer design, flood routing, etc.) and drainage pond (i.e. retention/detention basins) design. These specifications must be followed during the engineering design and contractor installation of any project that includes public stormwater facilities.
