Recreation & Programs

The City of Marysville facilitates and develops programs, special events, and recreation leagues for everyone to enjoy.

Passport to Fishing

Passport to Fishing will be held on Saturday, June 2nd from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Aldersgate Park, 400 Damascus Rd. This program provides skills, techniques, and information to allow beginning anglers to start fishing in their own community. Participants will complete four stations: casting, fishing knots and rigging, fish habitat and handling, and local information. Participants will then apply what they have learned by fishing in the Aldersgate Park ponds. This program is tailored for youth between 6 and 17 years old. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a free fishing pole. Registration is full for this event. Contact Amanda Morris at (937) 645-7350 for wait list information.

Andy will introduce key identification features of trees during a short walk along the trail and review some of the most common species to our region.
