Recreation & Programs

The City of Marysville facilitates and develops programs, special events, and recreation leagues for everyone to enjoy.

Passport to Fishing

Passport to Fishing provides skills, techniques, and information to allow beginning anglers to start fishing in their own community. Participants will complete four stations: casting, fishing knots and rigging, fish habitat and handling, and local information. Participants will then apply what they learned by fishing in the Aldersgate Park ponds. This program is tailored for youth between 6 and 17 years of age. This event takes place in June of each year.

Adventures at Aldersgate

Explore the outdoors at Aldersgate Park. Participants will learn small watercraft (kayak) safety and fishing basics. Participants must be between 6 and 17 years of age and must be accompanied by an adult if under the age of 12. This event is supported by ODNR. This event takes place in June of each year.
