Police Chief Floyd Golden

Chief Golden has served as Marysville Chief of Police since April 2004. During a period in 2011 he also served as the Interim City Administrator while that position was vacant. Chief Golden is a veteran law enforcement officer having served a 26 year career with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Following his career with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, he served seven years with the Union County Sheriff's Office as the Commander of the Support Services Division. Chief Golden is a veteran of the United States Navy having attained the rank of Aviation Fire Control Technician Second Class during his enlistment.

Chief Golden is a graduate of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy. He is a graduate of the Columbus Technical Institute (now known as Columbus State Community College), earning an Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement. He is also a 1997 graduate of the Logan County Sheriff's Academy.

Deputy Police Chief Tony Brooks

Deputy Chief Tony Brooks has served as Deputy Chief of Police since March 2013. He began his career with the City of Marysville in March 2001 as an Auxiliary Police Officer and was sworn in as a full-time Police Officer in March 2002. During his career, he has served as a patrol officer on various shifts and as a detective in the Investigations Bureau. In 2010 he was honored with the First Responder Award for his work as a detective.

Born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, Deputy Chief Brooks moved to Marysville, making it his home, in October 1999. Prior to working for the City of Marysville, he served as a supervisor for the West Central Community Correctional Facility in Marysville.

Deputy Chief Brooks graduated from the Clark State Community College Basic Academy in August 1997. He is a graduate of Tiffin University earning a Bachelor's Degree in Justice Administration in 2010. He also obtained a certification in Organizational Leadership from Otterbein University in 2016. In 2019, he completed the Certified Law Enforcement Executive (CLEE) Program through the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police and is currently pursuing his Masters in Public Administration at Ohio University.

Deputy Police Chief Robert "Bo" Spain

Deputy Chief Robert Spain has served with the Marysville Division of Police since October 1993. Prior to being hired by the City of Marysville he served nearly three years with the Union County Sheriff's Office as a Communications Officer, Corrections Officer and Reserve Deputy Sheriff. During this time, he also served as a part-time firefighter and EMT with the Allen Township Fire Department. Deputy Chief Spain was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in September 2001. After 11 years as a patrol sergeant, he was promoted to current rank of Deputy Chief. Deputy Chief Spain has an extensive 26 year background in public safety.

Deputy Chief Spain is a 1992 graduate of the Logan County Sheriff's Academy. He became an OPOTA Certified Firearms Instructor in 1999, Conductive Electrical Device Instructor in 2004, OPOTA General Instructor in 2005. He is also a 2009 graduate of the Police Executive Leadership College Class 54.
